Robert Powell III is a distinguished stand-up comedian and political satirist who
transitioned from a high-level political career in Louisiana to the national stage.
After earning a Master’s in Political Science from Texas Christian University, he
served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the City of Monroe and as a Special
Assistant during the Bobby Jindal administration. Since choosing to pursue
comedy full-time, Powell has been named Louisiana’s Comedian of the
Year three times and has become a mainstay on the Shaquille O’Neal All-Star
Comedy Jam Tour. His television credits include Showtime, HBO’s All Def Comedy,
and Aspire TV, where he served as Host and Executive Producer of Comic Edge. A
veteran of the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival, Powell continues to blend his
unique political background with sharp, insightful humor.
