LATE NIGHTS & EARLY MORNINGS is destined to be a classic, as Ambrosius offers a candid glimpse of her life and perspectives as a woman. Inspired by musical icons like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Prince, she concedes there is an overall male influence in her songwriting, such as the assertive sentiments heard on hits like “Say Yes.” She explains, “My pen and my point of view has a certain aggression to it because I’ve listened to a lot of male influenced music, which I think makes me one of the most outspoken writers out here. Sometimes as a woman you don’t wanna say what’s on your mind for fear of being judged. But why wouldn’t I say it like that if that’s how I felt?” Musical peers recruited to contribute to the project include Alicia Keys, a reunion with Dre and Vidal (producers of “Say Yes”), Just Blaze and Focus.

Blood Done Sign My Name
Benjamin Chavis (once known as Benjamin Chavis Muhammad) is an African American civil rights leader. Dr. Chavis was born Benjamin Franklin Chavis, Jr. on January 22, 1948 in Oxford, North Carolina. In his youth, Dr. Chavis was an assistant to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who inspired him to work in the civil rights movement. Dr. Chavis rose to international prominence as the leader of the Wilmington Ten. A former Vice President of the National Council of Churches, Dr. Chavis became the Executive Director of the NAACP, and he served as the National Director of the Million Man March as well as the Founder and CEO of the National African American Leadership Summit (NAALS).

Since 2001 he has been CEO and Co-Chairman of the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network,[1]
[2] in New York City which he cofounded with hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons. Dr. Chavis joined with Ezell Brownin 2009 to establish Education Online Services Corporation which is headquartered in Coral Springs, Florida. Many of the young people are familiar with Dr. Ben today because of his role in the movie “Belly” and his work with Russell Simmons and the Hip Hop Summit. Tampa is familiar with him in regards to the Hip Hop Soda Shop and the huge celebrity grand opening he put together for Tampa in 2008.
Watch an interview with Dr. Ben and Nate Walker, of the Great Debators, who plays Dr. Ben in the movie, “Blood Done Signed My Name, which is a biopic of his life as a young civil rights leader.

Black Violin has swept the country, and is a global phenomenon in the industry. They have been tearing down all of the stereotypes along the way. Young, black and gifted; they appeal to a hip-hop fan base and to music enthusiasts everywhere. Fusing classical training with the urban musical genre seems like a not so typical combination or mix… however it works!

Why does it work?

Because Black Violin has conceptualized a cutting edge approach of blending ideas: to incorporate where music has been and position it fast forward to where music is going. When speaking of creativity, nothing should be normal, or bland, or define the usual. Standards should never be limited, but set by how vivid a person’s imagination is.

Where does it work?

Black Violin goes into any venue, state or country even, and catches the attention of everyone, from the everyday listener to the trained musician. You may have seen Black Violin perform at a nightclub or an international festival. They have been known to provide the soundtrack for your favorite tv show, or be heard in the backdrop of an ad for a popular soft drink. This may seem extraordinary to the likes of an “average” artist, but Black Violin defies the word “average”. They crush the thought of mediocrity. BV has created a path, the beginning of a winding journey that encompasses their very own vision. Black Violin has captured its audience with their signature style. A style that erases the lines of traditional thinking and pushes the musical envelope forward into the future.
