The Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival, Inc. is one of the largest annual cultural and art festivals in Florida, and we solicit your support. The Festival serves as a community and tourist platform for its rich African-American culture, talent and arts.
From its inception, the Festival has promoted the Tampa Bay area by highlighting the contributions of local and national Blacks of African descent. The 10-day celebration adds value to our community and offers “something for everyone.” The Festival provides cultural events that feature local, regional and national recording artists, speakers, poets and craftspeople. Events begin the weekend before the national holiday remembering the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and extend to the weekend after. Speeches, seminars, workshops, visual and performing artists, as well as health and wellness awareness, highlight the spectacular events. An important aspect of the Festival in our signature Music Fest that offers, educational activities for children and adults, as well as African-inspired goods and wares, and delicious ethnic cuisine that add to the excitement and entertainment.
The Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival is the largest African-American event in the bay area and has been selected as one of the Top 20 Events by the Southeast Tourism Society six times, during it’s tenure. This could not have happened without the generosity and commitment of community sponsors, partners, volunteers and prospective donors like you.
